Who are you when the rest of the world isn't looking?

Lets get right down to the nitty gritty who are you when the rest of the world isn't looking, How do you describe yourself? Who is she? Who is he? When most are asked this loaded bombshell question, they tend to stammer and stutter... And then eventually blurting out something they think sounds humble, modest, and not braggadocious. They will typically describe a list of hobbies, their family pets, or ramble on about their flower gardens, or the way their kids have to wear matching pajamas, these are all beautiful things, but they are not a reflection of one's truest value. I don't know at what point it actually happened but when did we decide that dimming our light with a veil of humility, so we simply don't cast a glare on others was a good thing? Letting your light shine on others is the only way to spark and actual positive impact on the world now that light may be a torch, or it may be a flicker but shine on anyway.

Maybe the next time I ask that question just maybe the response will be something like this.

"I am of substance and strength. I carry Wisdom, Integrity, Truth, Courage, Honor. I am fierce and fire, Proud, Steadfast and true, I darling tackle life as a crazy brave and wicked strong individual who walks in faith and trusts the unknown. Unswerving in my loyalty and unwavering in my faith, I understand the deeper meaning to sisterhood, to family, to friendship, to love and to laughter. Behind my armor and tenacity is a softness brimming with the nurturing spirit of hope and a courage filled spirit the soars as the wild birds of prey in the bluest of skies both graceful and free. I am powerful, compassionate, brilliant, and brave. I am who I am, and I am a natural born leader who lives in no fear filled world. So, look out I might still tell you about my hobbies, my pets or how I love to garden in the rain barefooted with a baby on my hip listening to music of all sorts and from now on I will also own up to my truest authentic self and live in this anthem in which a new world our world has been born.
